Sundays are for Blogging

I woke up this morning in a bit of a panic and it took me a few moments to figure out why. For the past several months, my otherwise lazy weekend mornings were full of wedding prep (which amazed me, with how simple our plans really were)… and this is our first weekend at home as a married couple! Side note, our honeymoon now feels like it was a full decade ago; I’m already jonesing for a return trip to the happiest place on earth.

So, it’s time to get this blog rolling. I’m not sure that there’ll be a ton of content in this post, so bear with me. I need to sort of publicly lay things out for myself, because if I don’t have the accountability of the internet, lord knows I will abandon this blog like all my previous attempts!

If you’ve glanced at my About page (or if you know me in real life), you know I have a lot of varied interests. My hope is that this blog becomes a place where I can share them all. I’m talking, an entire post devoted to why I’m so disappointed the Steelers are doing away with their bumblebee uniforms, followed by some emotional mess about Steve Martin, followed by a beauty product review. And if I go on a photo adventure (or even just a nice walk, let’s be real), I’m going to share that here. I’m not the kind of woman to limit myself, and this blog shouldn’t be any different!

That being said, I’m likely going to be asking for help, especially as things get started. My dedicated writing skills are sorely out of shape – I wrote nearly constantly in college but that was six (oh my god) years ago. Obviously, I would like my posts here to have a little more substance than a thread of tweets. I also want to post weekly. Maybe I’ll get to a point where I can crank out posts on the daily? Who knows. Until then, one post a week – likely on Sundays – and I will try my best to focus on one topic or idea per post.

Help me grow this, guys. If you have things you’d like to hear my take on (or things you know I have a lot of thoughts on), tell me! I’m excited for what this website will become.
